Player Feature – Andie
In Rome, Bellona may have been the first female war goddess, but if you are looking for a Novice Blue warrior, look no further than Andie. Andie has been nicknamed “tough as nails” by her teammates this season after returning to play a tournament with them after an injury early on the first day. But that is not all they had to say. Andie is fun, kind, has a great sense of humor and is a great all-around player, whether crushing the ball at bat or calling out plays and supporting both the infield and outfield this season.
Andie has been enjoying everything about this season with the Novice Blue team so far, and we are also excited to have her mom Jennie joining us as a coach on the bench. Andie pursues athletic activities all year, playing ringette in the off season, which is likely where she has developed some of her speed and co-ordination from.
This is Andie’s third year playing ball, and we are so excited to have Andie as part of the Novice Blue team this season, and cannot wait to see what the season has in store for her.
